MEET OUR HEADS OF YEAR

Mrs Woodyatt (Head of Year 11):

"I am delighted to continue supporting our Year 11 students as they progress through their GCSE studies. Having been their Deputy Head of Year for one year and now entering my second year as their Head of Year, I feel privileged to guide them through this important stage of their education. 

I have high expectations for all students and am commited to ensuring that every young person is treated with respect, care, and understanding. My aim is to help students develop independence, resilience, and self-belief, while providing the support and encouragement they need to achieve their full potential. I look forward to working closely with students, families, and staff to make this a successful and rewarding year for all."

Mrs Sanders (Head of Year 10):

"This is my fourth academic year with this year group, and it has been a pleasure to see them grow in confidence, maturity, and character over that time. As Head of Year, I enjoy getting to know our students and supporting them through both the highs and the challenges of school life.

I work closely with students, families, and staff to make sure every young person feels supported, valued, and able to achieve their potential. Building positive relationships is at the heart of my role, and I am proud to be part of each student's journey as they continue to develop and prepare for their future."

Mrs Hill (Head of Year 9):

"I am Mrs Hill, Head of Year 9, and I have been with this year group from when they joined Ivanhoe in Year 7. I have enjoyed seeing them grow from the babies of Ivanhoe into the wonderful young people they are becoming. 

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my two sons (aged 16 and 20) and reading."

Mrs Harding (Head of Year 8):

"I am thrilled to be stepping into the role of Head of Year 8. Year 8 is an exciting stage in students' development, and I look forward to supporting them both academically and personally throughout the year. I am eager to get to know the students and work together to create a positive, supportive, and successful year group community."

Mrs Stewart (Head of Year 7):

"Hello, I'm Mrs Stewart, Head of Year 7. I've been at Ivanhoe for the past nine years and, during that time, I've had the pleasure of working with students across every year group. I'm now delighted to be focusing on Year 7. I will be supporting our students as they navigate the exciting (and sometimes slightly daunting!) journey from primary to secondary school, helping to make the transition as smooth and positive as possible. 

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, going to the theatre and cinema, and I've recently entered my 'Grandma era', a new chapter I'm very happily embracing!"
