TELA (Thomas Estley Learning Alliance)

TELA are an alliance of over 40 primary and secondary schools across Leicestershire working together for mutual improvement.

Ivanhoe accesses a range of continual professional development opportunities for staff in particular National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). 

NPQs are the nationally accredited qualifications in the education sector for current and aspiring leaders. Accredited by the DfE, NPQs provide training and support for teachers and leaders at all levels.  From those who want to develop expertise in high quality teaching practice, such as behaviour management, to those leading multiple schools across a trust. 

Our aim at Ivanhoe is that all of our middle and senior leaders will complete a National Professional Qualification (NPQ) for their career stage, which involves the indepth study of leadership and management techniques and requires candidates to complete an educational research and impact project.
