Ivanhoe Summer Concert 2026

Last Wednesday we welcomed families, staff and students to The Ivanhoe Legacy: I Am, We Are Summer Concert 2026 — an evening that truly showcased the talent, commitment and spirit of our young people. The hall was full, the atmosphere was electric, and every performance reflected the pride our students have in representing Ivanhoe.

Across the programme, students from all year groups delivered an outstanding range of music, dance and spoken word. Our ensembles performed with real confidence, from the developing musicians in Year 7 through to the experienced performers in Year 11 returning for their final Ivanhoe stage appearance.

The Year 11 performances were a particular highlight. It was genuinely moving to see how far they have come — the progression from their first nervous Year 7 rehearsals to the confident, polished performers they are today has been remarkable. Their development over the past five years has been a privilege to witness, and their final appearance on the Ivanhoe stage was a fitting celebration of their journey. The finale was met with huge applause and a real sense of pride across the hall.

A standout feature of the evening was the way students supported one another — encouraging nervous performers, helping backstage, and demonstrating the “I Am, We Are” ethos throughout. The legacy theme resonated strongly, celebrating both individual identity and the collective strength of our school community.

The audience response was fantastic, with families and staff commenting on the professionalism of the event, the high standard of performance, and the inclusive, celebratory feel of the night. It was a proud moment for everyone involved.

Thank you to all staff who supported rehearsals, logistics, staging and supervision, and to the students whose dedication made the evening so memorable. This year’s concert has set a new benchmark, and we look forward to building on this success next year.
