Pride Month Creative Competition - Advocacy

Theme: Creating an Inclusive School

Individual learners have to opportunity to create a campaign that could include:

• Posters or digital graphics

• Short video (1–2 minutes)

• Assembly slide or message

Focus:

• Challenging stereotypes

• Promoting being an Upstander

• Encouraging respectful behaviour

Suggested Structure for Learners:

• Identify an issue in school culture (e.g., language, inclusion, representation)

• Create a clear message or slogan

• Design visuals or media to communicate this message

• Propose one realistic action the school could take

Submissions by the final day of June. Judging by SLT and Learner Leaders. Judging Criteria (more academic):

• Depth of message

• Creativity and originality

• Clarity of communication

• Relevance to inclusion and respect

How it may be used:

• Winning campaign shared in assembly

• Display around school

• Potentially adopted as part of school ethos work
