The Lobster Pot Game

As part of their enrichment day, year 9 were looking at the idea of enterprise and risk vs return. To explore this we set the students up with a simulated business: lobster fishing.

Over the course of one week students would decide whether to take a gamble and go for the high quality lobster and run the risk of losing their equipment, or play it safe but receive a smaller return.

The weather (simulated by rolling a dice) would also play a big part in the activity and would need to be factored in when deciding their strategy for that day.
